Community Guidelines
Last Updated: February 15, 2026
Door 24 is a community built on recovery, growth, and mutual support. Every member is here because they're working toward a better version of themselves. These guidelines exist to keep our community safe, supportive, and focused on what matters.
By sharing content in Door 24 — including community posts, reflections, quest proofs, and shareables — you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, or permanent suspension.
1. Be Respectful and Supportive
Treat every member with dignity and compassion. Everyone is at a different point in their journey, and what feels easy for you may be someone else's hardest day.
- Encourage and uplift others
- Offer support without judgment
- Celebrate others' milestones and progress
- Be patient — recovery is not a competition
2. No Glorification of Substance Use
Door 24 is a recovery-focused space. Content that glamorizes, promotes, or normalizes substance use undermines the safety of our community.
- Do not post photos or videos of drugs, alcohol, or paraphernalia
- Do not share content that makes substance use look appealing or fun
- Do not describe “war stories” in a way that romanticizes past use
- Sharing your struggles honestly is welcome — glorifying them is not
If you're struggling, reach out. That's what this community is for.
3. Protect Others' Privacy
Privacy is fundamental to recovery. Many members participate anonymously, and that choice must be respected.
- Do not share another person's real name, photo, or identifying information without their explicit consent
- Do not screenshot or share private conversations outside the app
- Do not attempt to identify or “out” anonymous members
- What is shared in Door 24 stays in Door 24
4. No Hate Speech or Harassment
We have zero tolerance for content or behavior that targets individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- No bullying, intimidation, or personal attacks
- No slurs, derogatory language, or dehumanizing content
- No threats of violence, whether direct or implied
- No stalking or repeated unwanted contact
Disagreement is natural. Cruelty is not. If a conversation becomes heated, step away.
5. No Self-Harm or Suicide Content
We care deeply about every member's well-being. Content that promotes, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide is strictly prohibited.
- Do not post detailed descriptions of self-harm methods
- Do not share content that encourages others to harm themselves
- Expressing that you're struggling is okay — we want to hear from you
If you or someone you know is in crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988 (US), or visit 988lifeline.org.
You can also reach the SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357 — a free, confidential, 24/7 treatment referral and information service.
6. Keep Content Appropriate
All shared content should be suitable for a supportive recovery community.
- No sexually explicit or pornographic content
- No graphic violence or gore
- No spam, advertisements, or solicitations
- No misleading or intentionally false information about health or recovery
7. Report Concerning Content
If you see something that violates these guidelines or makes you feel unsafe, please report it. You can report any post, comment, or user profile directly within the app.
- Reports are confidential — the reported user will not know who filed the report
- Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action
- Content with multiple reports may be automatically hidden while under review
You can also block any user at any time. Blocked users cannot see your content or interact with you.
8. Enforcement
We enforce these guidelines to protect our community. Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, consequences may include:
- Content removal
- A warning sent to your account
- Temporary restriction of sharing privileges
- Permanent account suspension
Severe violations (threats of violence, illegal activity, child exploitation) will result in immediate permanent suspension and may be reported to law enforcement.
If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting support@door24.app.
9. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as our platform evolves. Changes will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date above.
When we make material changes, you will be asked to review and accept the updated guidelines before sharing new content.
